Funny name, right? Now say it as you picture Pearl the octopus from Finding Nemo saying it. My love of paper crafting started 15 years ago when my husband introduced me to Lisa, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who taught a monthly class in her home. At first I thought, “what a great way to make friends”. But after seeing her amazing craft room, stash of supplies, finished cards and projects, I knew I had to have a craft room FULL of Stampin’ Up! supplies to create my very own beauties!
So, I started attending Lisa’s monthly class with my sister in law. Then we found another monthly class with Jan. Then my sister starting coming with us….and she invited her daughter in law…..who invited her mother…..and so it began.
THE DIVORCE Fast forward a couple of years and God moves us to Pierce, Idaho. Up until this time, my sister and law and I went to class together, shopped together and crafted together. The move meant we had to split our inventory up. Worst. Thing. Ever. So I arrive in Pierce, population 508, with only half of my toys. Zero Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and zero card classes. And I had zero friends. So, what better way to make friends than to hold a card class! And I super needed the discount to replace my treasures left behind.
So, today, I teach a small class at the local community center and craft lots of goods to sell at our local holiday bazaar and in the local coffee shop (Elk Snout, super cute, check it out if you’re ever in Pierce https://www.facebook.com/elksnouteateryandmercantile )
And now, I’ve started a little notebook with all my measurements and directions so I don’t have to look them up on Pinterest every time and I’d like to share them here with you! Thanks for coming along on my very first blog adventure. It’s very rudimentary and I’m learning as I go. Happy Stamping! Brandee
