Box of cards with sentiments ready to attach

I have always loved these little boxes of cards. Inside there are fairly easy, plain cards with sentiments already stamped and ready to attach for any occasion. So great to keep on hand for those last minute events when you don’t have time to make a card from scratch. I’ll post the four basic card layouts in another post but here’s how to make the box.

I used Stampin’ Up! Banner Sayings set for mine https://www.stampinup.com/products/banner-sayings-bundle-english?demoid=2311688

You’ll also need:

Tear Tape https://www.stampinup.com/products/tear-tape-adhesive?demoid=2311688

Stampin Seal https://www.stampinup.com/products/stampin-seal?demoid=2311688

Stampin dimensionals https://www.stampinup.com/products/stampin-dimensionals?demoid=2311688

Bone Folder https://www.stampinup.com/products/bone-folder?demoid=2311688

Card Stock, DSP and ribbon (about 20”) of your choice https://www.stampinup.com/?demoid=2311688

Your first piece of cardstock will be cut to 6″ X 10 5/8″. Then score on the long side at 4 3/4″. Rotate it all the way around and score at 4 3/4″ again. Doing it this way helps ensure the front and back are the same size.

*NOTE: adhere your ribbon before you apply your DSP.

Next piece of cardstock is going to be cut 6 1/2″ X 11″. Then score on the long side at:

1/2″, 5″, 6″ and 10 1/2″. Rotate 90 degrees and score at 3″ and 3 1/2″.

Rotate back and cut it in half at 5 1/2″

This makes your two little pockets to hold cards & envelopes.

Here’s the measurements for the DSP. And, of course, embellish as much as makes you happy!

Front piece DSP: 4 1/2” X 5 3/4” (make sure your ribbon is already attached at this point)

Two pieces for the pockets 2 3/4” X 4 1/4”

Two pieces for the spine 1” X 5 3/4”

The assembly is pretty self explanatory but here’s a video just in case you’re more of a visual learner.

(Be kind….it’s my first video 🤪)
