Today is Day Nine of the hostage situation. I am at home with “the crud” and all my craft supplies are at work. Longest nine days of my life.

So I’m spending lots of time working on layouts and designs for future projects.

Did I mention that Hubby got a laser? Lots of ideas to mix his projects with my projects to create completely unique items. Here’s one we just threw together to get the creativity going:

It looks somewhat unfinished so we’re dialing in some finishing touches.

So with all my down time, I’ve been able to make a couple quick reference graphics to print and keep handy to save time when making basic A2 cards.

The first is one of those things you know you know but as soon as you need it…poof…thought be gone. So here it is:

Seems silly but print it, you’ll thank me later.

Next are measurements for a very basic card. These measurements start with an 8 1/2” X 11” piece of cardstock cut in half on the long side:

And now you have two card bases.

Here’s where you score & fold them:

And finally, here are the measurements for the front of the card layers. Again, super basic but handy to have printed so you’re not constantly trying to “math” when your brain wants to “create”.

The hope is that I’ll be back to work and my beloved craft supplies tomorrow.

What other visual aids would you find helpful?

Happy Stamping,
